They do not ask you do you like being Black, White, etc. They do not ask you do you like being a Man or a Women(though that can be a preference to some), do you like being _yrs old. I think they only want to ask things that cant change, know I "think" homosexuality is not a choice, but it can be changed, or persuaded. I know of homosexuals who have decided to not act on there homosexual tendencies, if you will, and remain "straight". I really don't know, it doesn't ask if you smoke, so maybe they don't car about preferences, and you got to remember that census are not profiles on dating sites.
