The last time that Vanity Fair was brought back to life was in 1983 when it took on the idiosyncrasies of the mass public as well as the lives of the wealthy. When Tina Brown started as the editor for the magazine she began giving readers a combination between cultural knowledge, juicy gossip and riches. In the early 1990s Vanity Fair went international with the first issue being released in 1991. Only one year later in 1992 an editor from The New York Observer named Graydon Carter added a world affairs aspect to the magazine as well as great articles and advice about fashion, musicians, how to stay green and who’s who in the entertainment world. The now infamous Vanity Fair Oscar gala is a huge draw for the magazine and so is the similar issue that is released by Vanity Fair called the Hollywood Issue.
