What is the difference between homosexuality and homosexual acts?

I have read that the Roman Catholic Church does not teach that homosexuality is sinfull but homosexual acts is? Can someone tell me exactly what they mean. I know they teach that it is not sinfull to be homosexual but to be sexualy active is. On a related note homosexuality and/or homosexual acts is not just a physical thing as they seem to think but is a form of lovemaking the only difference is that the participants are of the same gender.

i am a single female so until i marry – sex is not permitted. as a gay person you are not married in the church and thus sex is not permitted. sex between people of the same sex is also considered deviant/hedonistic behavior.

please don’t get upset with what i wrote – you asked for the answer and here it is. while it’s not what i’m sure you’d like to hear that’s the long and short of it. my best friend still attends mass just doesn’t receive Communion because he is in a same sex relationship. i still love him. he is still welcome. he is still God’s child.

Yeah… apparently you’re allowed to be gay as long as you’re miserable and lonely your entire life.

Meanwhile, the rest of us can get married, fall in love, and grow old with someone…

    Sounds fair to me.

A few churches , thinking themselves big hearted , have told their gay members to just stop having sex , and their sinful ways will be tolerated . Isnt that funny ?

I’ve never understood the difference, I think it’s a way of them to avoid being called judgmental hypocritical bigots

they never understand the intimate side of love-making either
