Good video. I am 17 and still have not told my family. It is just so hard to do. My father always talks bad about gays. I lived many of my teens years wishing I was not around. I have now started telling some people but still have not told any of my family. I’m not sure how to go about it. Im affraid of the rejection.

I am a straight male and I work in a neighborhood filled with homosexuals. I am constantly harrased by them. This video has helped me understand more about gays, mainly in that this is not something people can choose to be from what your saying. You seem to be a cool guy and I would not have a problem being friends with you either, Its just gays that act; I don’t know what the proper word is, but really gay. Like men acting like girls that i don’t understand, is this also uncontrolable?

Wow. It took me 2 years to tell my friends that I was a lesbian. It took me another 6 months to tell my family. I was happy that my friends never treated me different. But my family is a different story. My mother is okay with it but my father and younger sister hate me and hate the fact that I am related to them. Nothing I can do about that. I try my best to ignore the things people say, though it is very hard.

gagothesith- I think it was a step for him, not for others. He also is obviously trying to help others, and apparently its working seeing the comments he’s gotten. The point of it was to try and help others struggling with what he’s already faced and dealt with. And I personally thing that was rather courageous of him [knowing HOW MUCH people love to just hate others on youtube].

Well, kefka46tx, I kind of think of life as a capitalistic economy in that there always has to be a small sector of the population that is unemployed. The majority must be prosperous for the economy to continue thriving, but a sliver of it simply has to be jobless. That’s the way I think of reproducing. Many more people will be having children, and I have no problem with that. Everyone has the right to have biological children, adopt children, or have no family. The human race will be fine.

Also for the record, being gay doesn’t mean that you’re weak or that your masculinity as somehow been compromised, at all! I have a gay friend who is a black belt and could kick your if you make fun of him for being gay. And I know I just said this, but seriously, every individual determines the meaning of his or her own life for themselves. People follow a plan every day and never ask themselves if its their own. I will probably end up with a man but I still don’t want kids, EVER.
