For someone to pose as me is Fraud even if it is to send me an email. I do not want anyone posing as me for any reason!! I would hope it is a crime to fraudulently pose as me. I feel it is even WORSE to do it to Harass me with Spam BS. Not only that but If I where to send an email talking about Penis size to a 12 year old child, I would hope I would go to jail. But all these emails I get about My Penis and making her C*m,,, Who ever is responsible for sending these messages has no idea how old the pearson checking these emails is.

Im sure there has to be laws broken within this BS. So does anyone know of First off a way to ID the actual Sender? And then what action can be taken against them?

In the past I simply turn around and harass not necessarily the sender but the company they are pluging. I figure they have to be ultimately responsible. Somehow the sender is making money from that company. However it really does no good as far as preventing or taking action. Unless of course I go find the place and slash a parking lot of tires;)

Anyway I am hoping someone can tell me of some legal action I can take against the sender for ID Fraud, and Sexual Harassment.

Maholo Nui Loa
I said I go to the URL Promoted in the spam email and spam them. Lol Of course replying to the email would send emails to myself. I sent 200 emails to the company that was promoted in the spam email. Its all I can do. After about 175 emails they bann my IP.;)
You know if I email some lady and harass her about the size of her boobs or other things. It could be sexual harassment. So why then are these companies able to constantly sexually harass me vea email? Are you sure there is no action I can take on grounds of sexual harassment?

It’s called "spoofing".
Spoofing is the "forgery" of an address, to hide the identity of the sender, and is usually done by an Automatic Spamming system, that blindly and randomly, runs through addresses in sequence.
It’s not actually coming from or thru your account. (see in your sent folder)
One type that’s called "Self Spamming"–(go figure)–appears to be coming "from" and going "to" the same address.

Anti-spam experts say—-There’s nothing you can do, except delete them.
They are a nuisance, but harmless and don’t last long.
If you spam them–you’d only be spamming your own address.

From koreantimes

Women Vulnerable to Subway Gropers

A growing number of women are victims of sexual crimes in the subway. According to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, the number of sex crimes committed in subways has increased by 12 percent over the last few years.

Also, a recent survey on 1,360 women by the local broadcaster KBS showed more than 40 percent of them experienced sexual dishonor in the subway and 24.6 percent said they were sexually harassed.

Especially, summer is the most loathed season for victims of sex harassment and the offenders vary from juveniles to the elderly.

One such example involves Han, a 25-year-old woman from Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province.

While Han was on the way to work by subway, she felt an old man was persistently gazing at her breast. She was very uncomfortable and muttered to herself “Why is he looking at me.”

Suddenly, the man came and stroked her with his fist saying that she was the one looking at him. Han attempted to run away yelling, but the man continued to follow her. Han barely managed to call police and eventually sued him, but the old man counter-sued Han on a charge of violence insisting that Han violated him.

“The experience is traumatic for me. I still cannot sleep well nowadays. No matter how much I think about it, I am very angry and distressed,” Han said.

Park Ji-young, 28, is another victim of sexual harassment. When Park was on her way to school in a congested subway train, she felt somebody grope her buttocks and other parts of her body.

Park was frightened but unable to do anything at the time.
“I have heard about sex crimes in the subway but it was my first time to go through the experience. Since then, I became very reluctant to ride on crowded subway trains,” said Park, a graduate student at Ewha Womans University.

Korea Sexual Violence Relief Center advised that women need to yell out and warn sexual offenders saying `I will report you to the police’ as soon as they face sexual harassment.

“It is very hard to predict sexual harassment. So there is little we can do to prevent the crime except to counsel harassed women and develop education programs for possible offenders,” said Kim Yeon-seok, a counselor of the center.

Current law imposes a maximum one-year prison term or a fine of 3 million won on a person who committees a sexual crime in public.

It is disturbing. I remember reading about some rape cases in Korea where the offender received extremely lenient charges. South Korea needs to step it up when enforcing laws regarding sexual crimes.

What do you think of this speech I want to give at Clergy Call 2009?

Hello, I am the Rev. Andrew Hamilton. I am standing before you today to address my views on homosexual discrimination stemming from religious intolerance, its violent and selfish effect on American youth, and my opinion on a possible governmental position on this, and other, social dilemmas that cause Americans to lash out in hatred against one another, and in so doing, ruthlessly influence the suicide of thousands of American teens and young adults..

We all know that many people profess hatred and condemnation in the name of God. Religions from all over the world take hatred of another belief to be the work of God. Suicide bombing a Judaic Synagogue, burning down a small town church, murdering people and labeling them as witches because they have a radical outlook on religion, and crucifying a man because he claims to be the messiah, are all seen as glorious acts for the advancement of a belief in the ‘true’ God. Anything not mainstream becomes heretical, and anything we don’t understand is condemned.

Unfortunately, time passes while these problems remain. Governments stand and watch as teen suicides increase because they feel unaccepted among their own social groups, and in many cases, their own families. No one acts to stop organizations such as the Westboro Baptist Church, which dogmatically professes God’s hatred for almost every alternative group and minority. Organizations like these may be exercising their right to free speech, but on the other hand, one should consider, at whose expense is this freedom enjoyed?

Now, as a happy, and patriotic American, I fully support freedom of speech. I feel that very little should be censored, but when discriminatory material is not only released, but forced upon those of alternative lifestyles, I feel there should come a limit. In a study conducted in 2001, by Patrick Healy, homosexual teens were shown to be "five times more likely to attempt suicide than their heterosexual peers." A study by the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network in 2000 showed that "69 percent of gay students reported having been targets of verbal, physical or sexual harassment in school, and that 42 percent said they had been physically assaulted."

Many of these attacks are religious. I notice them in physical public locations, as well as in chat rooms and forums. I see them written on the wall in restroom stalls, and I hear them uttered by such a large majority of heterosexual teens and young adults. I feel that many of the suicides of those being persecuted for alternative lifestyles can be prevented by a united action on behalf of the Church and the Federal Government. While I believe that separation of Church and State exist for very good reason, I do feel that the United States government, in consideration of its constituents, has an obligation to step forward and take appropriate measures to reduce mortality rates amongst American youth, if such rates may be so controlled.

Much of the religious hatred toward homosexuality is based solely on ignorance of scriptural context, a problem that faces much of today’s society. Too often, people define their beliefs based on their doctrinal and congregational affiliations, rather than define these affiliations based on their beliefs. People often forget to think for themselves. "The man in the collar at the front of the Church must know what he is talking about, so therefore, I don’t have to." As clergy and as secular Americans, we have a duty to educate the people and enforce a concept of reason. We have a responsibility to maintain the dignity of our congregational constituents, and a mission to ensure that our beliefs are not used for the hatred and condemnation of those we may not understand.

I also feel that such measures should include legislation which may influence, but not coerce, the Church to show further acceptance toward groups to which they are stereotypically, inherently, and dogmatically opposed. I feel that the United States should create legislation to include homosexuality as a basis upon which no employer, educational institution, or any other private governing body may discriminate. I feel that religious organizations, churches, and other ecclesiastical bodies should be included as compliant bodies, thus preventing them from excluding anyone on the basis of any social parameters or alternative lifestyles, under this legislation, even if that lifestyle is deemed by their institution’s doctrinal adherence as morally or fundamentally incorrect.

This suggested legislation would be enough to begin the construction of a platform upon which social activist groups, local, state, and federal governing bodies, and religious organizations could unite for common, but legally influenced, American goals; goals that have been written in the very fabric of this great nation since it’s birth, and have outlived every generation since. We

http://ecumenicalfaith.org/lgbt_equality.aspx

It got cut off] Here is the rest:

We can develop a platform upon which we can, quite possibly, create a much more perfect union, and establish a true existence of domestic tranquility.

Let us not be divided by our differences, but united, for these differences are our greatest asset, and the reason that America is the great country she is.

Thank you all.

And this isn’t a sermon, it is a speech for the HRC Clergy Call.
IH, that is a perfect representation of the ignorance of scriptural context. Thank you.
IH, stop embarrassing yourself. Those verses talk about lust and lust only. Not homosexuality. Homosexual love is not, has never been, and never will be, a sin.

Read my sermon on this: http://ecumenicalfaith.org/sermon_homosexuality.aspx

Education is the only cure for ignorance.
IH, are you afraid to question your beliefs? Are you afraid you might realize that you’re wrong about God and his condemnation of his creation?

Let me ask you, would God send a disabled person to hell, for being disabled? So why would he send a homosexual, who was born that way?

Science + Religion = Truth…get some.

I totally agree with your speech. Finally a priest who actually accepts homosexuality and will help defend it. You are a great man. I hope you don’t tell people gay people are horrible at your church. I hope you do well and your speech is well liked by everyone at that convention.

I asked something to this effect awhile ago, but worded it very poorly so that it was taken the wrong way.

What I truly ask is this: In Islam, men are taught to respect women, of course and I find that Muslim men have great respect for their wives, mothers, and sisters.

Muslim women are also taught to dress modestly, thus taking the responsibility away from men to treat women well and putting it all on themselves to prevent men’s stares.

Therefore, in today’s world, I find that in some places, Muslim men lack respect for any woman who is not following the Islamic standards. For example, when I walk down the street where I live, wearing baggy jeans and a loose long-sleeved shirt, no head covering, I receive verbal sexual harassment from no less than 10-15 men in 20 minutes (I keep track). Some men have even disrespected me this way in front of my husband!

Do you believe that many Muslim men don’t get proper home training when it comes to respecting all women?
I should be clear in stating that I have lived in Morocco for several years and have visited two other Muslim countries; I have also been harassed by Muslim men in Europe, though never in the U.S. (where I think it’s just less socially acceptable). It is very socially acceptable for men in Morocco to harass women on the street – so much so that a popular magazine here, TelQuel, recently published a piece interviewing men who do it and women who experience it to find out what they think.
And yes, I KNOW THAT MEN OF ALL RACES AND RELIGIONS HARASS WOMEN.

My point is that this is ultra-prevalent where I live. I have never been sexually harassed on the street in the U.S. by anyone (I’m sure it happens somewhere, but probably in bars or nightclubs, where there’s an assumption people are looking for sex!)
Terry, you must know that this happens to Moroccan women just as much – more so if they dress less conservatively than me (and most do).
I apologize, that wasn’t Terry G – the name wasn’t below, and your avatars look similar!
You’re right Sarah – I just confused your avatars (your name didn’t show up) because you use nearly the same one!

I know that in Moroccan society, a woman who dresses a certain way gets harassed – THAT IS the problem, in my mind. My mother in law wears hijab, and is still harassed, in her forties, about her behind. That’s just unbelievable, in my opinion.

And to Terry specifically, I don’t think a lot of men in Morocco do get proper training in this – my husband (who does not and did not harass women) says neither his mother nor his father addressed it – it’s too hshuma to talk about!

And, just FYI, it doesn’t happen to me in refined Rabat either – but where I live is less touristed, but still urban.

Yes, Nomadic I do believe that a lot of Moroccan men (not all but many as you said) need real lessons on respect towards women.
Growing up in Morocco I have had similar experiences of constant harassment from the men I called the "vautours". They can be qualified in different groups you have: the whistlers, the stalkers, the one that stare. It is a familiar view to see a group of men at the cafe just staring at every skirt wearing person and commenting on her. I do not know what to attribute this behavior to. I was told once that if I didn’t like it that I should just wear a djellaba and a head scarf.
I think men do it because of several reasons:
1) It shows how macho they are
2)It is their way to show that they have no respect for women that dress in a modern European way as they think those women turn their back on tradition and religion.
3) Boredom and a lack of better things to do
4) A lot of them are young (their testosterone is raging) and they’re sometime just plain stupid.
These are my personal views on the matter. From my personal experiences, I found that those offenders are mostly young and/ or uneducated.
It is the burden of the entire society to put a stop to this. Men to learn respect for women no matter what they wear, women to stand up to it and society to make it unacceptable.

I am wondering what the Yahoo Employee/Staff policies are for employees governing racism, discrimination, and/or gender type abuse, harassment & targeting by Yahoo staff. If you have a link or information on this please do post your response. The reason I ask is because I have received many complaints by YA!
Sexual harassment, racism, personal attacks, have all found their way to the court. We at one time, ignored such thingsm but can no longer. The role of the employer in preventing these abuses is clear: so creating a strong IU policy is a matter of due diligence. Enforcing the IU is important. Email & Internet Use policies need to reflect that these abuses will not be tolerated & any employees engaging in them
makes Yahoo liable for such statutorily and federally unlawful, regulated abuses.

Can you please list any information or websites you have on IU and other policies that govern Yahoo Answers! Forum Staff, and all Yahoo Employees Staff period? Thank you.
sheryar: It is obvious you failed to read my question in its entirety. Please go back…go back and read my question in its entirety, then re-post an answer to my question, please, not an opinion. I am requesting information not an opinion.

Thanks so much for comprehending.
Julius, you’re jumping to conclusions and wrongfully I might add. There is such a thing called "friends" and friends confide in other friends. It’s not what you stated at all. Get a hold of yourself and maintain control. You seem very bias in your non-responsive comment. Please re-read my question. Answer correctly if you know the answer; if not move on, you know? I am specifically asking for information not wild accusations and innuendo. What you printed is not responsive, you know? Thank you.

It is illegal anyway. Yahoo suspend people for almost no reason. Some fool reports a question because they dont like you and you lose 10 points! Ridiculous.

yestaerday, the whitehouse confirmed that the WMD found were out of date, and not the weapons they were looking for in 2003. Then, the conservative supreme court ruled against a Bush backed railroad company, that used illegal retaliation against a woman who filed a sexual harassment complaint. Later in the day, a handful of republicans derailed a scheduled vote on the voter rights act, that would renew it for 25 years (this is the act that prevents discrimination against black people’s voting rights) Then, to top it all off, it was released that the government is receiving information from Chase bank on accounts from Americans inside the U.S. Then, they asked two newspapers to not release the story. You all had a busy day! Any plans for today?
I never said Bush was worse than Hitler. ANd sorry I don’t have anything less boring than news to report on, like fantastical WMDs, or threats of terrorists around every corner. Sorry, I live in the real world, and sometimes it’s boring. But not yesterday !!
I will however compare Bush to McCarthy.
therandman…honey the supreme court didn’t derail the vote in congress yesterday re: voter rights. A minority of republican senators did. That’s cute, though, how you’re trying to keep up.

You left out a few things, like blocking a raise in the minimum wage while increasing their own pay, and, after the National Academy of Sciences stated that the earth is the hottest it’s been in over 2000 years, they again denied that global warming exists.

I would gladly give credit to the Republicans for stopping the terror plot in Florida but I don’t believe that all of the FBI agents involved were Republicans. What Republicans were sucessful in doing yesterday was renaming 17 post offices and court houses. Our tax dollars at work…

therandman: I included the foxnews link so maybe you’d believe it. Of course, they may or may not have covered it on your local channel because the top science story for FOX was the web-spinning history of spiders.

When you think of Lorena Bobbit, Clarence Thomas, or Anita Hill, what comes to mind? Sexual harassment was likely to be the first thing that popped into your head. Sexual harassment can be defined as unwanted sexual advances or actions on the job resulting in an offensive working environment.(change) Sexual harassing behavior may range from a whistle to offensive jokes to sexual assault, and it has been a major issue in our society for many years. Although both men and women can be victims of sexual harassment, women are more subject to it. This mostly occurs because most people are unaware of exactly what defines sexual harassment. MOst people are unaware of sexual harassment in the workplace, sexual harassment in education, the acts to prevent it, it’s consequences, where to find help, and how to stop sexual harassment.

please help!

Hey – thought it was good but a couple of things to change which are below (I put my corrections in).

"Sexual harassing behavior could range from a whistle to offensive jokes to sexual assault. It has been a major issue in our society for many years."

"Most people are unaware of sexual harassment in the workplace, in education, the acts to prevent it, it’s consequences, where to find help, and how to stop it."

I just thought that for that last sentence, if you don’t say ‘sexual harassment’ in each phrase and instead say ‘it’ you shouldn’t just randomly place ‘sexual harassment’ in the last world. Otherwise, good job.

I am currently studying to become a Secondary School teacher. I have been doing a lot of reading about bullying, harassment and emotional violence in high schools. Teachers are given A LOT of theortical training in how to deal with these issues, and we’re taught to identify the root of the problem, but unfortunately there aren’t many resources addressing PRACTICAL things that teachers could actually do to reduce all of these negative behaviours.

So, TEENAGERS, tell me what your teachers could do to make your school a more emotionally healthy and safe environment. How could they stop the following:

- sexual harassment
- physical fighting and bullying
- teasing
- social rejection

Thanks!

Not really much you can do, I mean addressing the problem to a student actually makes it worse.. and if you address the bully it will make the person being bullied seem like he narked(tattled) and thus they will have it in for him even more.. I really dont believe theres a real solution though, atleast short of boot camp or something.

The respected rights group, Human Rights Watch, released this week a 146 page report two years in the making. Although there are numerous recommendations, the main ones are:

1. take the registries off the internet and only allow law enforcement or those who "need to know" access to information about high risk individuals

2. ban all housing restrictions

3. allow ex offenders reviews to prove they pose little or no risk to society

Much of the report detailed what is already public record such as that most (90% for children and 75% for women) sexual assaults are done by acquaintances, the vigilantism and harassment of ex offenders and families is common, and that there is little scientific or statistical evidence that the punitive measures by the national and state governments actually work to prevent sexual abuse.

Comments anyone? (If you are going to offer some ignorant, nilhistic remark, save it. We’ve all heard it before and it’s old.)
I was debating pulling the question because I was concerned that the responders so far are exactly what I feared: ignorant, retributive and/or hate filled.

Not one asked for a link to the report to actually read what this group says. One even questions the group’s reputation itself. Probably never heard of it, therefore how could it be respected?

YA probably isn’t the place to ask for eloquent, thoughtful answers to seriously posed questions.

I’m sorry but i believe it is my right to know if my next door neighbor has ever hurt or raped women or children.
